# GE Profile 24" Dishwasher *Published: 2026-01-07 | Updated: 2026-01-07 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/ge-profile-24"-dishwasher* --- **Brand:** GE **Price Range:** $49.99 - $1166.2 across 39 retailers ## Pros - The GE Profile 24" Stainless Steel Built-In Dishwasher features a sleek, sophisticated front panel with complex controls that elevate a modern kitchen’s look. - Installation is generally straightforward, allowing for a smooth and hassle-free setup. - Once installed, many users find the dishwasher performs well and meets cleaning expectations. - Initial communication and service interactions with the seller or manufacturer are described as excellent and helpful. ## Cons - A major and recurring problem involves the lower spray arm melting during cycles, which leads to water leaking onto the kitchen floor and causing significant damage. - The root cause of the spray arm melting has been identified as a faulty heating element, but a reliable fix has not yet been fully implemented. - Multiple users report early reliability issues, including leaks within the first year, often linked to door seals or overheating water. - Compatibility problems with certain detergents may worsen leaks or cause damage to the unit. - Manufacturer customer support tends to be inadequate and unresponsive after the initial service visits. - There is no user manual included or available online, making it frustrating to understand and fully utilize all dishwasher features. - Despite repeated repair attempts, the key defects, especially the spray arm melting and water leaks, often persist, leading to ongoing user frustration. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | GDP24SS | | mpn | GDP24SS | | sku | GDP24SS | | dimensionsUnit | inches | |
